Usually, while under the care of a dermatologist, you may receive a facial treatment. However, we recommend checking with your doctor beforehand to be 100% sure. Especially if you are currently taking any kind of oral or topical medications.

Is a chemical peel right for me?

Chemical peels are a great way to optimize your in office treatments. They are great for reducing hyper pigmentation and discoloration, tightening the skin and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Chemical peels are not performed on first time clients. We recommend beginning with a First Time Glow to determine what your skin’s needs are first.

Before your facial, avoid exfoliating your skin, do not pick at blemishes, and cease the use of any products containing Retinol or any acids, such as salicylic, glycolic, lactic, etc.

What should I expect after a facial?

Once your facial is complete, you will notice immediate results. Your skin’s texture will be improved and your skin will be more toned. Following your facial, you may experience purging. Purging occurs after deep exfoliation. Purging results in breakouts that will minimize over the next few days as everything has been brought to the surface.

Following your facial, do not wear makeup for at least 24 hours, if you receive a peel it is strongly advised to wait 5-7 days to allow peeling, depending on the depth of your peel. Do not exfoliate, using scrubs, masks, or cleansing brushes, and do not touch your face.
